Approximate Driving Time from:

  • Banff = 50 minutes
  • Calgary (downtown) = one hour and 10 minutes
  • Canmore = 35 minutes
  • Cochrane = 55 minutes
  • Lake Louise = one hour and 25 minutes
  • Longview = one hour and 40 minutes
  • Okotoks =
    • two hours and 15 minutes via Longview
    • two hours and ten minutes via Priddis and Bragg Creek

 

DIRECTIONS:

  • FROM CALGARY
    • head West on Highway 1
    • take Exit 118 for Highway 40
    • Drive south on Highway 40 for approximately 26 kms

 

  • FROM BANFF or CANMORE
    • head East on Highway 1
    • take Exit 118 for Highway 40
    • Drive south on Highway 40 for approximately 26 kms

 

  • FROM LONGVIEW or OKOTOKS
    • Turn right off Highway 22 (The Cowboy Trail) onto the south start of Highway 40
    • Drive for approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes

 

  • DRIVING SOUTH ON HIGHWAY 40:
    • We are located on the Left side of Highway 40
    • approximately 3kms past the Kananaskis Village sign

 

  • DRIVING NORTH ON HIGHWAY 40:
    • We are located on the Right side of Highway 40
    • approximately 1.5kms past the Kananaskis Country Golf Course entrance

 

**Travelling from areas in the deep south of Highway 40, like Longview or Okotoks, please check advisories for updates on current temporary road closures. Highway 40 from Peter Lougheed Provincial Park to Highwood House junction closes December 1 and opens June 15. The below link, will have current advisory updates:
